About SafeFlame

Safer candlelight, proudly Australian since 2002

SafeFlame was created in Sydney in 2002 to preserve the warmth and atmosphere of candlelight without the risks of an open flame, hot wax, wind or summer fire bans.

What began as a simple candle-shaped glow light evolved into a reusable LED taper candle. In 2006, SafeFlame worked with Duracell for one season as we introduced our first AAA-powered LED generation. By that time, more than one million SafeFlame candles had been sold.

Trusted for more than 20 years

For more than two decades, SafeFlame candles have supported Carols by Candlelight, church services, school celebrations, council events and commemorative ceremonies across Australia.

Our customers rely on us for more than the candle itself. Australia is a large country, and an order that arrives after an event cannot be replaced. That is why we plan around event dates and check every parcel carefully.

We are renewing SafeFlame with improved candle designs and a simpler online service for both returning and first-time customers. Our Classic and Neon Smooth Rainbow LED taper candles include two AAA batteries and are available with custom printing for larger events.
